UFP Canada is one of the country's leading manufacturers and suppliers of industrial packaging products, specialty lumber, building materials and lattice. We are a growing essential company and are looking for an industrial mechanic to perform various mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic work. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining our equipment and machinery by performing inspections, servicing, and repairs to prevent breakdowns, extend the life of our equipment, minimize downtime and optimize our overall production performance.
Job type: Day and evening, permanent, full-time
Daytime schedule : Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Evening schedule: Monday to Thursday: 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Salary: To be discussed depending on experience
Evening premium: $3 /hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform various preventive maintencace activities such as inspections and servicing ;
- Repair equipement and machines by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts;
- Perform mechancial aseembly as well as equipement modification and fabrication;
- Grind, cut, buff, or bend workpieces to ensure equipement fit;
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts as needed;
- Clean and lubicate various equipement pieces;
- Perform general maintenance on the equipement and ocassionally weld different components.
QUALIFCATIONS:
- DEP/DEC in Industrial Mechanics;
- Minimum 1 year experience as an Industrial Mechanic;
- Spoken and written French;
- Spoken English (an asset);
- Have a toolbox.
